Camping is not for everyone and that’s why the Snooty Fox offers the unique experience of "glamping" unlike anywhere else in Michigan.  “Glamorous Camping” is the latest trend in eco-friendly lodging.  A camping vacation with all the amenities you expect from an upscale resort with the simple pleasures of an outdoor experience.  Cabins with electricity, beds, comforters and sheets.  Clean, modern bathrooms, hot water, towels and privacy.  A fire pit for evening campfires.  A lodge with kitchen and living area for conventional retreats.

Why are we so different?

Several things come to mind.  For one, we don't charge "Chicago prices" for a Michigan vacation.  Secondly, we're not on "Michigan time", we're on your time!  An hour here, an hour there, what's the difference?  You choose your time zone...

And that's just the beginning, at the Snooty Fox we strive to provide a unique lodging experience in which each guest cabin will possess its own piece of nature.  Nestled in the trees, elevated above the ground and situated around a large garden pond, each cabin offers a view of nature and a sense of privacy.  

Our cabins are quaint and simple.  They are individual pieces of art that eschew the trappings of modern life, while providing all the amenities necessary to enjoy a quiet vacation with your family and friends.  Handcrafted by the artisans of Hearthwoods Rustic Furnishings, the cabins reflect our shared appreciation for the natural environment of Harbor Country.  

The Main Lodge provides the many luxuries you would expect in a more traditional lodging accommodation, but separate and distinct from the cabins.  Modern amenities such as kitchen facilities, library, sauna and your own private single-occupancy bathroom are all state-of-the-art and only a stones throw from the cabins.
