Does the Snooty Fox produce electricity from renewable sources?
Yes, we have the first Windspire wind energy appliance to be lifted in Harbor Country!

Is the Snooty Fox locally owned and operated?
Yes, we and our staff live nearby and support the local green economy.

What kind of recycling programs does the hotel have (aluminum, plastic, paper)?
Bins are available for source separation of aluminum, plastic and paper.  Directions to the Sawyer recycle are also prominently displayed.

Do guests have the option to reuse towels instead of having them changed every day?
Yes of course.  Towels are provided on an as-needed basis.

What programs does the Snooty Fox have to reduce consumption?
All resort cabins, bathrooms and lodge use energy efficient lighting, timed light switches where appropriate, and low-flow showers.

Is there access to locally grown and sustainable food?
Yes, we are within a mile of Sawyer Garden Center, featuring the area's very finest locally grown produce.

Does the Snooty Fox have a sustainable swimming pool?
We can't do any better than Lake Michigan, so we turned our swimming pool into an extremely large Koi Pond.  Really!

Info

Our cabins are not air-conditioned.  Frankly, they don't need it.  Open the door, turn on the fans, you'll be fine.

Further Info

Occasionally it gets hot during the day and our lodge does have air-conditioning if you choose to turn it on.

Too Much Info

If you're too hot, go to the beach.  It's just down the road a ways...
